Nagoya University gives priority to international students who come directly from overseas to apply to live at the three Nagoya University Dormitories. These dormitories accept international students twice a year, in April and October. Applications are accepted in January for April admittance and in July for October admittance. The period of residency is limited to one year for privately-financed and MEXT students under the Japanese Studies Program, and six months for other MEXT Scholarship students.
