Associate Professor Isamu Okada has received the Japan Society of Social Science on Latin America’s Award for the Promotion of Studies. This award was bestowed to the book Resource States and Democracy (Shigen-Kokka to Minshushugi) published in 2016, in the recognition of the distinguished achievement in the field of Social Science on Latin America. The award ceremony was held at Kyoto University on November 4, 2017.
