GSID alumnus, Dr. Hettige Don Karunaratne was awarded the Foreign Minister’s Commendations 2021.

Dr. Hettige Don Karunaratne, GSID alumnus and Senior Professor, Department of Business Economics, University of Colombo, was awarded the Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY 2021. The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in international fields, in order to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and areas. Dr. Karunaratne was awarded the Commendations for his great contribution to the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and Sri Lanka.
