The application guidelines for the following entrance examinations to be held in 2025 will be updated from around late April to early May, 2025.

Master’s Program
1-1.English Proficiency Test for the Master’s Program Entrance Examination
TOEIC scores will not be accepted from the entrance examination of 2022. acceptance has been abolished as a score for the English proficiency test. We have also set the minimum scores for each English proficiency test. If the score is less than minimum required one, you cannot apply.
1-2.The Requirements of English Proficiency Test for the Master’s Program Entrance Examination
The requirements for official English proficiency test scores for application to the Master’s Program will be changed as follows, effective from April 2025 for entrance examinations scheduled thereafter.
Previous Requirement: Scores will only be accepted from tests taken within five years of the first day of the application period.
New Requirement: Scores will only be accepted from tests taken within two years of the first day of the application period.

Non-degree Programs
* The Research Student Program is a non-degree program. Research Students conduct research on a particular topic under the guidance of an academic advisor, however unlike students enrolled in the Master’s and Doctoral degree programs, Research Students do not obtain a degree. The enrollment period is at the beginning of either the Spring or Fall semester (April/October), and the end of the enrollment period is the end of March the following year. Research Students cannot officially register for lectures or earn credits.
International students who wish to newly enroll in the Graduate School of International Development (GSID) as a research student should follow the procedures according to the “Research Student Program (Privately-Financed International Students)”.

About Department of International Communication (DICOM)
